Surrender of a pet
We do not always have space in our rescue for new pets, and we therefore do not guarantee that we will have space for your pet. You must recognize that we work entirely out of foster homes, and we cannot force our volunteers to take in more pets than they can handle.
If we do have space to take your animal, you must provide us with several things in order for us to accept the animal:
-
Cage and all accessories
-
One medium or large size bag of appropriate Cat Litter (if a cat/kitten)
-
At least two cups of whatever food was being fed to the animal previously
-
Monetary donation (see below)
All surrendered pets require a surrender fee of:
$20 per kitten that is vetted,
$35 per kitten that is not vetted,
$30 per cat that is vetted,
$45 per cat that is not vetted,
$25 per puppy that is vetted,
$40 per puppy that is not vetted,
$35 per small dog that is vetted (up to 30lbs.),
$50 per small dog that has not been vetted (up to 30lbs.),
$45 per medium dog that has been vetted (up to 55lbs.),
$60 per medium dog that has not been vetted (up to 55lbs.),
$55 per large dog that has been vetted (up to 90lbs.),
$70 per large dog that has not been vetted (up to 90lbs.),
$65 per xlarge dog that has been vetted (150lbs.),
$80 per xlarge dog that has not been vetted (up to 150lbs.),
**Fees can be paid either by cash or check. Returned checks is a $50 fee.**
*Due to the rise of Gas prices, there will be a $15 fuel fee added to the surrender fees for the pick up of the pet within 30 minutes of Loveland, each additional 30 minutes of driving is an additional $15. (This is for both ways of pick ups)*
All surrendering owners will need to sign a surrender contract. All surrenders MUST come with all their vet paper work and any registration information they may have, such as if they are AKC,CKC,UKC etc.
We are sorry for those of you who feel that a surrender fee is inappropriate if the pet you found is a stray and not your own pet. Please understand that we get Many calls and emails in regards to pets that people claim are not theirs, that without our surrender fees we would have more pets than funds to care for the rescue pets in our care. A surrender fee is required. Thank you for understanding.
**Please Note**
We are NOT able to have the following breeds of puppies/dogs in our care, whether pure bred or mixed with...........
1. German Shepherd
